EFF’s Nontando Nolutshungu Slams DA-Led Cape Town Over Clinic Hours and Support for Black Communities
EFF mayoral candidate Nontando Nolutshungu has criticised the DA-led administration in Cape Town, accusing it of failing to adequately support measures aimed at addressing the needs of black communities.
Nolutshungu says the administration has not supported a proposal to extend clinic operating hours to 24 hours, arguing that longer operating hours could improve access to healthcare for communities that struggle to access services during the day.
Her comments come as political parties intensify their campaigns ahead of the local government elections, with service delivery, healthcare and access to public services expected to remain key issues for voters.
The EFF candidate has positioned the proposal as part of broader efforts to improve access to essential services and address what she describes as inequalities affecting communities across Cape Town.
