‎EFF mayoral candidate Nontando Nolutshungu has criticised the DA-led administration in Cape Town, accusing it of failing to adequately support measures aimed at addressing the needs of black communities.

‎Nolutshungu says the administration has not supported a proposal to extend clinic operating hours to 24 hours, arguing that longer operating hours could improve access to healthcare for communities that struggle to access services during the day.

‎Her comments come as political parties intensify their campaigns ahead of the local government elections, with service delivery, healthcare and access to public services expected to remain key issues for voters.
