FLOYD SHIVHAMBU LEADS MAYIBUYE IAFRIKA’S ELECTORAL PUSH AS PARTY UNVEILS GAUTENG MAYORAL CANDIDATES

‎Mayibuye iAfrika Movement president Floyd Shivambu has announced an ambitious electoral drive, with the movement confirming plans to field candidates across thousands of wards in South Africa ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
‎
‎Speaking during a community meeting to announce the movement’s Gauteng mayoral candidates, Shivambu said Mayibuye iAfrika would contest 4,368 wards across all provinces.
‎
‎The movement says the campaign is guided by its call for “Total Freedom and Emancipation Now”, as it seeks to establish a stronger political presence across municipalities.
‎
‎In Gauteng, the movement has announced several mayoral candidates, including General Prince Nkitsing Mokotedi for the City of Tshwane and Themba “SKEEM-GP” Nzimande for the City of Ekurhuleni.
‎
‎Other candidates announced include Bishop Vincent Jones for Emfuleni Local Municipality, Apostle Buti Michael Nthako for Sedibeng District Municipality and Johannes Moatlhodi for Midvaal Local Municipality.
‎
‎The movement said its Johannesburg mayoral candidate would be announced separately once the prospective candidate completes an assignment currently underway.
‎
‎The announcements signal Mayibuye iAfrika’s intention to compete directly for political influence at local government level, with the movement positioning itself around its broader message of freedom, emancipation and political transformation.
‎
‎Shivambu described the progress made by the movement as a significant milestone and called on supporters to continue building the organisation ahead of the elections.
