Trial-Within-a-Trial Resumes in Musa Kekana Evidence Challenge

‎The trial-within-a-trial involving Musa Kekana, a co-accused of Vusimusi “Cat” Matlala, is set to resume tomorrow as his defence continues challenging the admissibility of evidence against him.

‎Kekana’s defence has accused WO Johannes Phiri of relying on vehicle-tracking data to tailor his testimony. The defence is also alleging that Kekana was assaulted and tortured by police officers during his arrest.

‎The allegations relate to Kekana’s arrest in connection with the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.
